Special Needs Jungle notes that although with today’s technology and policies deaf children are getting the most support that they ever had, there are still some dark clouds over these sliver lining. The gap between deaf and hearing children is getting worse. About 34% of pre-school deaf children were reported as achieving a “good level of development” at the Early Years Foundation Stage compared to 76% of other children. The disappearing support is ruining deaf children’s progress. The story looked into the different surveys within the deaf education scene.
